An Innovative Co-Working Space in Sandton
Trend Group is proud to have completed the fit-out for Workshop 17, a vibrant co-working space situated in Sandton. Tailored for the contemporary urban nomad, this innovative workspace redefines collaboration by creating an environment that inspires creativity and strengthens community bonds.
Striking Industrial Aesthetics
Under the direction of Gas Architects, the design embraces an industrial aesthetic, featuring an exposed black soffit complemented by hanging plants and warm timber accents. This combination strikes a balance between modernity and comfort, fostering a stimulating atmosphere where members feel both energised and at ease.

Celebrating Local Culture
Workshop 17 prominently showcases local culture through carefully curated artwork and furniture from talented local designers. This focus on local craftsmanship not only enriches the workspace but also highlights African influences, reinforcing a powerful sense of community among users.
Versatile and Flexible Workspaces
The office layout includes a variety of adaptable spaces, including meeting rooms, private offices, co-working zones, and seminar rooms, designed to cater to diverse needs. A dedicated auditorium provides the flexibility to host larger events and workshops, ensuring that the facility accommodates the varied interests of its members.

Engaging with the Streetscape
On the ground floor, a lively café and dynamic working areas engage with street life, creating an inviting space that encourages pedestrian interaction. A central staircase acts as a focal point, enhancing the flow of natural light throughout the interior while promoting a vibrant atmosphere enriched with greenery.
Customised Auditorium Experience
One of the standout features of Workshop 17 is the customised auditorium, designed with elevated seating for an optimal viewing experience during presentations and events. This thoughtful design enhances the overall functionality of the space, making it a hub for learning and collaboration.
