Trend was awarded the second contract for We Works Johannesburg location as the main contractor to fit out the works at 155 West in Sandton. The five-story south wing of the building is dedicated to We Work, featuring thoughtfully designed workspaces, premium amenities, and an abundance of natural light.
We Work, the global shared workspaces company decided to establish their footprint in South Africa in 2019. We worked very closely with international tram to ensure that the design and implementation was delivered seamlessly and to their global standards.
We Work wanted to broaden their global shared workspaces into South Africa, focusing on the communal space, open and closed desking, meeting spaces and other quintessential spaces that We Work offer.
The communal spaces were finished off with art pieces and designs within the workspace that were produced by local artists and vendors, adding to the authentic look and feel. With the industrial palette as its base, African elements were weaved through the spaces bringing through the South African local energy.
