Waterfall / Midrand

Working alongside the Design team at Profica, Trend Group built on our already  successful relationship with Dell Technologies to be appointed on this exciting project.

The design needed to be consistent with Dell’s international look and feel, but also introduced touches of African style as an acknowledgement of the office’s location. The end result is a space that is modern and functional. Warm timber finishes and touches of blue throughout the design elements bring out the client’s corporate identity and help to establish a clean, sophisticated look. African prints and subtle design evoke the African context in a subtle yet stylish manner.

Creating privacy was an important aspect of the interior design. This was achieved through the use of acoustic panels in multiple areas, as well as through the creation of booth seating and break away areas – all with their own unique design touches. The meeting rooms achieved high levels of acoustic ratings to provide the utmost privacy.

From an implementation perspective, sustainability tracking and reporting were of vital importance to the client and required the implementation team to track all waste materials and recycling for the duration of the project. More than 75% of waste materials were diverted from landfill.

The client liaison was based in Ireland, and communications were managed with weekly video calls and in-depth progress reports. Design renders were compared with on-site progress photos which enabled the client to visualise progress on site, week by week. The client had visited site during the first week and last week, and commended us on a project well executed.

During the final stages of the project, we assisted the client with their move and furniture, enabling a smooth transition for the facilities management team. We were on stand-by on site during their ‘go live’ period, to provide any technical assistance and training. We achieved practical completion a week before the program deadline.
