True North, a software development company partnered with Trend to design their new offices for their Cape Town branch.
The design intent was a combination between steam punk and raw industrial. In order to express the ideal that their creative services are hand-crafted, individualized and unique, an effort was made to incorporate gritty finishes. The use of raw materials ranges from oxidized metals to piping to various textures makes the space feel edgy.
A key feature is the reception area which boasts the logo laser cut on to oxidized metal.
Other design elements include faux plants, metal dividers and timber wall cladding, and collectively the space feels robust yet an exciting environment to enter into.
