Management Consulting Firm
Interior Design Meets Storytelling in Rosebank’s Oxford Parks
The new Johannesburg headquarters for a global management consulting firm transcends functionality, weaving a captivating narrative inspired by the city’s vibrant spirit.
Architects of Experience
In collaboration with HK Studio, renowned for crafting immersive experiences, Trend designed a one-of-a-kind office environment within Rosebank’s flourishing Oxford Parks precinct. This partnership resulted in a space that is both innovative and reflective of Johannesburg’s dynamic character.

Designed for the Future of Work
Flexibility reigns supreme in this space, catering to the ever-evolving needs of today’s dynamic work models. The design prioritizes adaptability, seamlessly accommodating both in-office and remote work styles. This approach ensures that the Management Consulting Firm Office Design remains relevant and functional as work habits evolve.
Redefining the Office Space
The design encourages a sense of belonging and purpose, making the office a place where employees want to be. The design narrative pays homage to Johannesburg’s rich history, drawing inspiration from the city’s ambition and the allure of gold. It’s a celebration of Johannesburg’s cosmopolitan character, inclusivity, and embrace of all things exotic. This thoughtful integration of local elements creates a unique and engaging environment.

A Curated Experience
The office unfolds like a meticulously curated journey, with elements of surprise and a touch of the exotic gradually revealed through design details. The heart of the space lies in the canteen area, showcasing the best of local talent, from handcrafted furniture to bespoke wall tiles. Public areas strike a perfect balance – inviting and characterful, seamlessly blending timeless elegance with contemporary style and playful touches.
Global Consistency, Local Heart
Maintaining a sense of global brand identity was key. However, the project team placed a strong emphasis on incorporating local elements. An impressive 80% of the furnishings and fittings were sourced from South Africa. Symbolic design elements, like the central staircase featuring a tree at its core, represent Johannesburg’s strength, its gold mining legacy, and the harmonious fusion of African and global excellence. Local artists, furniture makers, and galleries further enrich the space with custom-made pieces and artworks, solidifying the office’s deep connection to Johannesburg’s unique identity.

A Celebration of Johannesburg
This bespoke office environment is a celebration of ambition, authenticity, inclusivity, and African excellence. It tells a compelling story of Johannesburg’s one-of-a-kind character, seamlessly blending a serious and philosophical air with playful touches. The result – a Management Consulting Firm Office Design that is not only functional but also deeply resonates with the human experience.
