For global pharmaceutical company Lundbeck, Trend Group designed a workspace that prioritizes employee well-being and reflects their focus on brain health. The office features a calming, Scandinavian-inspired aesthetic with a palette of soft, natural tones, abundant natural light, and biophilic elements. The layout is human-centric, offering a variety of work settings from quiet focus areas to collaborative zones, creating a supportive and low-stress environment that enhances both productivity and mental well-being.
A Holistic Approach to Office Design
When Lundbeck sought a new office location in Knightsbridge Office Park, they turned to Trend Group for a comprehensive solution. Our role included everything from design and build to IT integration and the selection of art and decor. With a commitment to adhering to Lundbeck’s international design guidelines and brand identity, we set out to create a workspace that truly reflects their values and vision.
Scandinavian Influence Meets Brand Identity
Drawing inspiration from Scandinavian design principles, we embraced muted tones complemented by bright pops of Lundbeck orange throughout the office. This thoughtful colour palette, combined with consistent concrete finishes, warm timber accents, and plenty of greenery, creates an inviting atmosphere that feels both modern and comforting. Our goal was to capture the essence of Lundbeck’s great people and unique culture, fostering a sense of belonging and collaboration within the workspace.
Symbolism at Its Core
A particularly meaningful element of the office design is the tree featured in the boardroom, symbolising regeneration—an integral part of Lundbeck’s mission. This striking design serves as a reminder of the company’s commitment to discovering and developing innovative treatments that restore brain health. It’s not just a design feature; it embodies Lundbeck’s purpose and creates a focal point that inspires connection and creativity.
