IGT
Turnkey fit-out for multinational contact centre
Trend Group was appointed to design and deliver a full turnkey fit-out for multinational contact centre client IGT South Africa, occupying the uppermost floors of a landmark building in Cape Town. The brief called for a workplace that would inspire and uplift—connecting global teams to their African setting while supporting fast-paced operations in the travel and aviation industries.

CUSTOMISED LOCAL AND NATURAL INTERIOR DESIGN ELEMENTS
The concept drew on the natural elements associated with Cape Town, with each floor reflecting one of four themes: nature, ocean, sunrise and air. These ideas were expressed through layered visual storytelling across levels—from vinyl locker wraps and baffle ceiling designs to custom murals and handcrafted pendant lights.
The call centre floors were reimagined with fresh energy, using colour, texture and graphic elements to enliven the day-to-day experience. A bespoke collaboration area formed the heart of the main production space, offering visual relief from the expanse of desks. Making use of suspended ropes, the structure nodded to Cape Town’s heritage of craft, with tones and patterns inspired by African weaves.

LOCALLY SOUTH AFRICA SOURCED ART AND SUSTAINABLE DESIGN MATERIALS
Local creatives played a key role in the project. A graffiti designer was commissioned to create bold, floor-specific murals for meeting rooms and canteens. Woven light fittings and wooden pendants were handmade by artisans to suit the theme of each level. Sustainable and locally sourced materials were used wherever possible. By drawing on South African suppliers and craftspeople, the project supported small businesses while streamlining delivery.
The fast-tracked timeline—just nine weeks from start to finish—called for close coordination across all trades. Regular site meetings and clear milestones helped the team stay aligned and responsive throughout. Despite the project’s complexity and pace, the outcome has been praised by the client.
