Fyn Restaurant emerged from the collaborative vision of Chef Peter Templehoff and the innovative design talent of Tristan du Plessis from Studio A. As the appointed main contractor, Trend Group was entrusted with the task of bringing this high-end dining experience to life, ensuring that every detail reflected both the chef’s aspirations and the designer’s artistic intent.
Swift Execution with Meticulous Collaboration
The fit-out of Fyn was completed within an impressive eight-week deadline, a feat made possible through effective collaboration between Trend Group, designers, and contractors. A critical focus was on creating an acoustically balanced space, essential for an open-plan restaurant where the kitchen and dining areas meld together. This approach allowed for a dynamic atmosphere where culinary artistry enhances the overall dining experience.


Crafting Bespoke Elements for a Unique Dining Experience
What set this project apart was its remarkable reliance on bespoke furniture, fittings, and equipment—all crafted locally. This dedication to customisation ensured that diners would enjoy a uniquely curated environment. The design featured earthy tones alongside industrial elements, culminating in a captivating visual identity, further accentuated by the striking installation of wooden discs suspended from the ceiling, which added character and warmth to the space.
