Designing the Future: Trend Group’s Vision for Automation Company
A leader in industrial automation and digital transformation embarked on a journey to transform its new Bryanston office into an innovation hub. Trend Group was appointed as the sole service provider on this project and quickly crafted an environment that blends technology with modern design aesthetics.
Bridging Innovation and Functionality
The Automation client challenged us to create an innovative and functional interior space that reflects the company’s commitment to industrial automation, collaboration, and modern technology. The interior design needed to enhance employee productivity, promote teamwork, and represent the corporate brand’s identity.
Translating Vision into Design
Keeping the brief in mind, we translated the Automation client’s motto of ‘expanding human possibility’ into the interior design concept. Focusing on the themes, we created dedicated spaces for innovation, technology, and collaboration. A specialized area was created for hands-on experimentation with automation technologies fostering a culture of creativity and exploration.
Integrating Industrial Aesthetics
We used industrial finishes such as steel and perforated mesh screens and juxtaposed them with warm timbers. The design features black, grey, and white tones with a subtle use of red and other corporate design colour palettes to add visual interest. Biophilic elements were added to improve the aesthetics and to add value to the air quality in the office.
Unique Elements that Impress
One of the standout features is the reception area’s mesh screen, skilfully dividing the walkway from the reception. Additionally, intricate beading design details with sandwiched red timber add character to the reception desk and AV panel in the main boardroom, creating a memorable first impression.
