Thungela
Thungela is a new name in the mining industry that is rich in history. The company was formed when the South African thermal coal operations demerged from Anglo American and listed on the JSE and LSE in June 2021.
The brief is to move the company in to their new space with their new look and feel.
We needed to accommodate for their staff compliment and implement a 80/20% agile work space methodology. We needed to generate a design that was easily adaptable to any new brand colours as the company CI was not yet established.
An industrial theme was used in conjunction with a sense of warmth and sophistication through the use of plush textures, warm timbers and greenery. A beautiful pallet to be able to allow for a variety of brand colours.
The canteen was created to be a hub where people from different departments can come together and break away outside of their workspace environment.
The cantilever meeting room was definitely an eye-catching feature and was a true industrial element to the design.
