Trend Group partnered with the Reach for a Dream Foundation to transform Tygerburg Hospital’s Paediatric Unit into a “Dream Room,” a sanctuary designed to offer young patients an escape from the clinical environment. Themed “Under the Sea,” the room immerses children in a magical underwater world, providing a soothing and vibrant space for relaxation and imagination.
Crafting a Safe Haven
The goal was to create a safe, engaging, and visually stimulating environment that goes beyond a simple play area. Trend Group’s design balances imaginative play with a nurturing atmosphere, offering children a comforting space to explore and dream.
Bringing the Ocean to Life
Trend Group’s design team fully embraced the “Under the Sea” theme, adorning the room with vibrant ocean murals, interactive play areas, and custom furniture. Challenges like limited natural light were overcome with a bright colour palette and strategic lighting, enhancing the room’s inviting ambience.
