GovChat, who connects you with your government across all platforms accessible via any mobile device or feature phone. They needed to be a space that represented the people that would be spending time in it. The location was required to be a meeting space for Government officials to meet so there’s no public interference, making it a reliable & safe environment for them.
Trend was able to design and build the perfect space for them to accommodate all their requirements. The building itself has a very industrial feel and also had large columns throughout the space but we created features out of them and instead of trying to hide them, we turned them into stand out items.
The rawness of the space was a great pallet to work with, we added finishes that created a very warm and inviting ‘coffee shop’ and ‘restaurant’ feel. We used, natural timbers, feature lighting, comfortable furniture, and greenery to soften the industrial aesthetic.
The furniture was selected to aid flexible working as well as to accommodate informal meetings. GovChat wanted to ensure that the build was 100% locally manufactured and procured. Sourcing only the best from local businesses to support its people. The space really matched its purpose to connect people and encourage conversation and interaction.
